  • What are Varicose Veins?

    • Varicose veins are swollen veins that you can see through your skin. They often look blue, bulging, and twisted.  Varicose Veins are typically 3 mm or more in diameter. Left untreated, varicose veins may worsen over time. Large varicose veins can cause aching and feelings of fatigue as well as skin changes like rashes, redness, and sores. As many as 40 million Americans, most of them women, have varicose veins.

  •  What causes Varicose Veins?

    • High Blood pressure inside the superficial vein.

    • Varicose veins are more common in women than in men and are linked with heredity.  Other related factors are pregnancy, obesity, menopause, aging, prolonged standing, leg injury and abdominal straining. 

  •  What are some of the symptoms?

    • Aching, heavy legs (often worse at night and after exercise)

    • Ankle swelling

    • A brownish-blue shiny skin discoloration around the veins

    • Skin over the vein may become dry, itchy and thin, leading to eczema

    • Minor injuries to the area may bleed more than normal and/or take a long time to heal

    • Rarely, there is a large amount of bleeding from a ruptured vein

    • In some people, the skin above the ankle may shrink because the fat underneath the skin becomes hard

  • How many treatments will I need?
    • This will depend on the treatment, seeing that we have many different procedures and every case being different. Typically:
      • Laser Hair Removal: 3-8 treatments (depends on skin & hair color)
      • Broadband Light: 1-2 treatments
      • Sclerotherapy: Depends on how many veins are needing attention and how much injectable is needed
      • Microdermabrasion, Facials, Peels: as often as needed
      • Botox: how ever many units is needed
      • Juvederm: one treatment can last up to one year
      • All Vein treatments are evaluated from patient to patient
  • How fast will I see results? 
    • Our Laser treatments take only 1-2 treatments to be successful and see full results.
    • Botox and Juvederm have an instant effect.
    • Microderms, Facials and Peels have an instant effect.
    • Vein treatments require about 4 weeks to heal and be completely successful.
  •  What are the prices?
    • IPL: $100-$350 per session (4 recommended)
    • IPL Spider Veins: $100-$300 per session
    • Laser Hair Removal: $45-$500 per session (3-8 recommended)
    • Sclerotherapy: $50-$300 per session
    • Microdermabrasion:
      • Face $90
      • Neck $25
      • Decollete: $80
      • Face/Decollete: $150
    •  Medical Microderm: $130
    • Medical Light Peel: $50
    • Botox: $10 per unit
    • Juvederm:
      • Ultra: $500 per syringe
      • Ultra Plus: $550 per syringe
    •  Most Vein procedures are submitted into insurance
